The band Cyanide came together after a long process, although the initial idea for it came to guitarist Peter Coon and drummer Ille Savchuk already in 2006. Distinctly unique in its mixture of the Slavic and Western influences, Cyanide is undoubtedly Scandinavian garage-rock. The band breathes through the musical skills and experience of its main guitarist Coon and those who have heard the charismatic voice and presence of vocalist Erika Bjorkman have become her staunch fans. There really is no one like her around.

The current line-up for Cyanide is: Erika Bjorkman — vocal, Peter Coon — guitar, Ille Savchuk — drums, Seppo Kolehmainen — guitar, Olli Lozhkin — bass. The quick fingers and tasty solos of Mr Kolehmainen are known also from his other band — Dreamtale.

In spring 2011 the band is preparing for its first LP and single releases. Cyanide aims for Finnish, Russian and European audiences, all of which have shown interest in the concept. Everything on the album has been recorded at the «Sound Supreme» Studio by Janne Saksa, a renowned producer-guitarist of Hameenlinna, Finland. The music is written by Coon, while the main part of the lyrics are the work of Erkki Seppanen (also known from bands like Dreamtale and KYPCK).

A few weeks ago the band posted a demo music video on You Tube. A guest tour in Scandinavia, as well as in snowy Russia is being prepared. Sometimes the sweet poison «Cyanide» is extremely tempting.
